Statement-I: CH3 – O – CH2 – Cl will show nucleophilic substitution by SN1 mechanism in protic medium.

Statement-II: \(CH_3 - \overset{\overset {CH_3}{|}} {\underset {\underset {CH_3}{|}}{C} } - CH_2 - Cl\)  will not undergo nucleophilic substitution via SN2 mechanism easily.

(1) Statement - I and statement-II both are correct

(2) Statement-I and statement-II both are incorrect

(3) Statement-I is correct but statement-II is incorrect

(4) Statement-I is incorrect but statement-II is correct
