Correct option is : (B) 2

Given:-

P + 1, 2p + 1, 4p - 1 are in A.P.

A.P. = \(a_1, a_2, a_3 .....\)

Common difference (d) : \(a_2-a_1=a_3-a_2\)

\(a_2-a_1=a_3-a_2\)

(2p + 1) - (p + 1) = (4p - 1) - (2p + 1)

2p + 1 - p - 1 = 4p - 1 - 2p - 1

p = 2p - 2

p - 2p = - 2

- p = - 2

\(\therefore \) p = 2
