ABCD is a smooth horizontal fixed plane on which mass m1=0.1 kg is moving in a circular path of radius 1 m. It is connected by an ideal string which is passing through a smooth hole and connects mass m2 \(={1\over \sqrt 2}\)at the other end as shown. m2 also moves in a horizontal circle of same radius of 1 m with a speed of  \(\sqrt 10\) m s-1.  then the speed of m1 is–

Tension in string connecting to m1 from Free body diagram is

\(T= \frac{m_1v_1^2}{r_1}\)......(1)

From Free body diagram of block m2, tension in string connecting is

From equations 1 and 2
