Correct option is : (2) 10

When KMnO4 oxidises others in acidic medium difference between the two oxidation states of Mn is 5.

When KMnO4
\(\therefore \text{x} = 5\)

Fe is in +3 oxidation state.

Fe is in +3 oxidation state.

\([\text {Fe}(\text{C}_2\text{O}_4)_3]^{3-} \Rightarrow \text{Coloured complex}\)

\(\text{Fe}^{3+} \Rightarrow \text{d}^5 \Rightarrow \text{5 electrons are present in d-orbital }\)

\(\therefore \text{y} = 5\)
