S. N. Electrical resistance Resistivity
1. At a given temperature, resistance depends on nature of material and dimensions of conductor. At a given temperature, resistivity depends on the nature of material.
2. \(R= \frac{m\ell}{ne^2\tau A}\) \(\rho = \frac{m}{ne^2\tau}\)
\(\tau\) is average relaxation time between two successive collision
3. unit : ohm unit : ohm – metre
