Assuming the validity of Bohr's atomic model for hydrogen like ions the radius of \(Li^{++}\) ion in its ground state is given by \(\frac{1}{X}a_0\) , where X =____ .

(Where \(a_0\) is the first Bohr's radius.)

Correct option is : (3) 3

\(r= r_0 \frac{n^2}{z} \& \ z = 3 \) for \(Li^{+2}\) and \(n= 1\)

\(\therefore \ r= r_0 \frac{1^2}{3} = \frac{r_0}{3}\)   \(\therefore \ x= 3\)
