Correct option (D) 8.0 × 10−4m3

Three forces act on the block, Ft down, mg down and Fb up. Fnet = 0 Fb – Ft – mg = 0 Fb – 3 – 5 = 0 

Fb = 8 N – weight of displaced water = ρh20 Vdisp

8 = (1000)V (10)  V = 0.0008m
