 Let : x = 5 + 2√6.

Then : x = 3 + 2 + 2√((3)(2))

∴ x = (√3)² + (√2)² + 2(√3)(√2)

      = (√3 + √2)²

∴ √x = √3 + √2 ................. (1)

∴ 1/(√x) = 1/(√3 + √2)

= 1/(√3 + √2) x (√3 - √2)/(√3 - √2)

(√3 - √2)/ (3 - 2)

= √3 - √2 ........... (2)

∴ (√x) + (1/√x)

√3 + √2 + √3 - √2

= 2√3
