The length of a potentiometer wire is 10m. An accumulator of steady e.m.f. is connected across the wire. A Leclanche cell gives a null point at 750cm. If the length of the potentiometer wire is increased by 100cm, find the position of the balance point.

Given: l1 = 10 m, E = E1

 l2 = 7.5 m, E = E

Case 2: l'1 = 11 m, 

E = E1 E = E2 (Balance condition) 

To find: Position of balance point (l'2)
