Refrigerant-12 is contained in a piston/cylinder arrangement at 2 MPa, 150°C with a massless piston against the stops, at which point V = 0.5 m3. The side above the piston is connected by an open valve to an air line at 10°C, 450 kPa. The whole setup now cools to the surrounding temperature of 10°C. Find the heat transfer and show the process in a P–v diagram.
