(i) Raoult’s law: It states that for any solution, the partial pressure of each volatile component in the solution is directly proportional to its mole fraction.
(ii) Henry’s law: It states that the partial pressure of a gas in vapour phase (P) is proportional to its mole fraction (x) in the solution.
