Light from a source is incident on a metallic surface. The maximum kinetic energy is E and current is I. If the distance of source from metal is doubled, what will be the values of kinetic energy and current.

Intensity from a point source I ∝ 1/r2. By doubling distance r, the intensity is reduced to one-fourth. 

Therefore, photo current will become I/4 while kinetic energy E will remain unchanged.
