Show that Bohr’s second postulate, ‘the electron revolves around the nucleus only in certain fixed orbits without radiating energy' can be explained on the basis of de-Broglie hypothesis of wave nature of electron.

The de Broglie wavelength λ = h/mv ....(1)

Now for electron in orbit

This is Bohr’s second postulate. As complete the Broglie wavelength may be in certain fixed orbits; so non-radiating electron can be only in certain fixed orbits.
