Statement I: If the accelerating potential in an X-ray tube is increased, the minimum or cut-off wavelength of the X-rays produced remains unchanged. 

Of these statements :

Statement II:  lf the potential difference between electrodes in X-ray tube is increased, the intensity of the emitted radiations remains unchanged.

(a) Both the statements are true and Statement II is the correct explanation of Statement I. 

(b) Both the statements are true, but Statement II is not the correct explanation of Statement I. 

(c) Statement I is true, but Statement II is false.

(d) Statement I is false, but Statement II is true.
