Ozone depletion describes the related phenomena observed since the late 1970's a steady decline of about four percent in the total amount of ozone in earth's stratosphere (the ozone layer), and a much larger spring time decrease in stratosheric ozone around earth's polar regions. The latter phenomenon is reffered to as the ozone hole.
The main cause of ozone depletion and the ozone hole is man-made chemicals especially is man-made chemicals-Ralocarbon refrigerants like cholorofloro carbon (CFC), Hydrofloro carbon (HFC), propellant chemical and foam-blowing agents etc.
