A closed right circular cylinder has volume 2156 cubic units. what could be the radius of the base so that the total surface area may be maximum ? (Use π = 22/7).

Suppose the radius of the cylinder is r and height is h.

Then, πr2h = 2156 or, h = (2156/πr2)

Suppose the total surface of the cylinder is 's'.

Therefore, S = (2πr2 + 2πrh)
