An ice-skater, a ballet dancer or an acrobat is able to change his/her angular speed during the course of his/her performance. When the performer stretches out his/her hands and legs, his/her moment of inertia folds his/her hands and legs near his/her body, the moment of inertia decreases and he/she is able to increase his/her angular speed.
