Best answer

Length of the scale = 20 cm = 20 x 107 nm = 2 x 108 nm

Diameter of the carbon atom = 0.15 nm

Number of carbon atoms which can be placed side by side across the scale = {(2 x 108 nm)}/{0.15 nm} = 1.33 x 109
