Semicarbazones are derivatives of aldehydes & ketones produced by the condensation reaction between a ketone or aldehyde & semicarbazibe. Semicarbazones are useful for identification &characterization of aldehydes & ketones

Semicarbazone: When aldehyde or Ketone reacts with semicarbazide, the product obtained, is called semicarbazone.
