Osmotic Pressure:- The extra pressure applied on the solution which prevent the entry of the solvent into the solution through the semi permeable membrane is called osmotic pressure (π).
π = CRT = (n/V)RT
C = Concentration in molality
V = Volume of solution
R = a constant, T = absolute temperature
Osmotic pressure depends on the number of solution particles present in the solution as the particle may molecules, atoms or ions. There is differences between its experimental and theoritical value. Due to this osmotic pressure become abnormal.
