A steady current flows in a metallic conductor of non-uniform cross-section. Which of these quantities is constant along the conductor: current, current density, electric field, drift speed?

Except current the values of all the other quantities depends upon the area of cross section of the conductor. Hence, only current remains constant, when it flows through a conductor of non-uniform area of cross-­section.
