The opposition party plays important role in a democracy as
(i) The Success of the democracy depends to a great extend on the constructive role of the opposition parties.
(ii) It keeps a check on the working of the ruling party.
(iii) It puts different views in the Parliament and criticise the government for its failures or wrong policies.
(iv) By doing this, it can keep a check on the ruling party, which is made to move on the track.
