It is a method of proving Boolean theorems by substituting all possible values of the variables. The possible values of the variables are 0 and 1.
For example, 0 + X = X
If X = 0, then LHS = 0 + X
= 0 + 0
= 0
If X = 1, then LHS = 0 + X
= 0 + 1
= 1
