Best answer

(i) Length = 50 m

Breadth/50 = 2/5

5 × Breadth = 50 × 2 (by cross multiplication)

Breadth = (50 x 2)/5 = 10 x 2 = 20m

(ii) Breadth = 40 m

40/Length = 2/5

2 × Length = 5 × 40 (By cross – Multiplication)

Length = (5 x 40)/2 = 100m

Length = 100 m.
