The full name of NITI Aayog is ‘National Institution for Transforming India’. It was constituted by the Govt, of India on January 1st, 2015. It works as a Think-Tank for govt, of India.
The following are some of the bases for the formation of NITI Aayog:
1. To make states’ active participation in development.
2. To use intellectual property available in the country and also stop it fleeing by way of its proactive participation in governance.
3. To form common platform of the centre and the states to achieve goals of development. It is also to ensure to remove communication gap of different ministeries in order to attend to necessities of states and thus, giving tangible form of the process.
