An isotope has atomic number 17 and mass number 37. What is the arrangement of electrons in the shells of this isotope? State nuclear composition of this isotope.

Number of electrons = Atomic number = 17 

Number of protons = Atomic number = 17 

Number of neutrons = Mass number - Atomic number = 37 - 17 = 20 

Electronic configuration of the isotope is 

Nucleus of the isotope contains 17 protons and 20 neutrons
