Hon’ble Chief guest, Minister of the state for education, respected Principal, all the teachers and dear friends, a very good morning to all of you. On this occasion, I want to tell you how science is a boon or a bane for us.
Science has caused a revolution in the life of man. Science has produced such wonderful things that we can’t imagine. With the help of the satellite, man has landed on the moon. With the help of the radio and television, we can know and watch every happening in any part of the world. With the help of phone and mobile phone, we can contact anybody, anywhere and anytime. With the advance of medical science, man has got victory over several fatal diseases. And lastly, the computer that is the modern wonder has made impossible things possible for us.
Thus, science has proved to be a boon to us. But science is boon as well as bane. If we use science in right manner, it is a boon. But nowadays due to excessive industrialization which is boon of science, we have polluted our environment so much that we are now facing the threat of global warming. Depletion of ozone layer is also due to science. Due to rapid growth without caring about environment, we have created big threats for the human race.
Thanks a lot.
