Prayer in its wider sense is inward communion with the Divine. A petition heartful prayer helps in cleansing and purification of our soul and free it from the layer of ignorance and darkness that has covered it. To experience the presence of Divine in our heart, we must pray regularly.
विस्तृत संदर्भ में प्रार्थना का तात्पर्य उस परमात्मा के साथ आंतरिक संपर्क स्थापित करने का माध्यम है। हमारे हृदय से की गई औपचारिक प्रार्थना हमें हमारी आत्मा को शुद्ध करने और अज्ञानता रूपी अंधकार तथा मन के ऊपर जमे मैल (दुशित विचार) रूपी चादर को मिटाने का काम करती है। अपने हृदय में ईश्वर की उपस्थिति का अनुभव करने के लिए हमें भगवान की प्रार्थना लगातार करना चाहिए।
