Following are the arguments in favour of economics to be considered as an art :
1. Only an economist can take the final decision on problems that are of purely economic nature. For example, problems like exchange rates, bank rates, etc. are related to economics, so only the economist can give solutions for them.
2. The main objective of economics is to maximize the welfare of individual or society. The policies adopted by the economist or the government to achieve a certain goal is considered as an art.
