1. Jute – Jute fiber is obtained from the stem of jute plant. To obtain jute fiber, its plant is harvested when it starts flowering. Its stems are then immersed in water for a few days. Its stem is used to make huts, traditional furniture (table, mudda), and eco-friendly toys. Its fibres are used to make cots, chains and decorative items.
