Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was a brilliant student right from his childhood. His family belonged to the naagvansh, but later it came to be known as the caste ‘Mahaar’. The whole of his life is a story of struggle. As he was bom in a family identified as ‘untouchables’, he faced a lot of insults and blames right from his childhood. Therefore, from his early age, he developed the courage to fight against injustice and social evils.
He completed his elementary level of education from school and went to Mumbai for further studies. He got a scholarship from Baroda estate and went to America for higher education. He was also a part of the fight for freedom. After independence, he became the President of Constitution Drafting Committee. The Constitution of India was prepared only under his presidentship.
