National Income is the subject matter of Macroeconomics. Macroeconomics studies the concepts of national income; its different elements, methods of its measurement and social accounting. It also examines the factors responsible for growth of national income in the long run. Since national income is the study of the income of nation or economy as a whole, therefore, it is a subject matter of Macroeconomics.
