Find the area of the region bounded by the parabola y2 = 4x, the x-axis, and the lines x = 1 and x = 4.

Here y2 = 4x is a right handed parabola having its vertex at the origin and x = 1, x = 4 are the lines parallel to the y-axis at x = 1 to x = 4 units distance.

Similarly y2 = 4x contains even power of y and is symmetrical about the x-axis.

So the required area = Area of ABCD
