If the area of a rectangle is 93.6 m and the width is 3.6 m, then find the perimeter of the rectangle.

Area of rectangle = 93.6 m2

breadth = 3.6 m

Area of rectangle = l x b

⇒ 93.6 = l x 3.6

∴ l = 93.6 ÷ 3.6 = 936/10 ÷ 36/10

= 936/10 x 10/36 = 936/36 = 26 m

Perimeter of rectangle 2(l + b)

= 2 (26 + 3.6)

= 2 x 29.6

= 59.2 m
