Best answer

Mass number given = 35

Atomic number of element = 17

(i) Neutrons = 35 – 17 = 18

(ii) To ind number of electrons in outermost shell we will have to ind the electronic configuration of the element. For atomic number 17,

K = 2

L = 8

M = 7

The number of electrons as we can see from the electronic configuration is 7.
