If in ΔABC, DE || BC. AB = 3.6 cm, AC = 2.4 cm and AD = 2.1 cm then the length of AE is

(1) 1.4 cm

AB/AD = AC/AE

3.6/2.1 = 2.4/A.E

(3.6) (AE) = 2.1 x 2.4

AE = 1.4 cm
