Apparent value of dip,

δ1 = 45˚ 

Actual value of dip, 

δ =? 

We have, 

tanδ = \(\frac{V}{H}\),

H = horizontal component of earth’s magnetic field in magnetic meridian 

Let H1 be component of H at 30˚ to magnetic meridian, then
