Here,

Input rms voltage,

Vrms = 10 V

∴ Peak value of input voltage,

E0 = √2.

Vrms = √2 ×10

= 14.14 V

Since, the transformer is a step-up transformer, having transformation ratio 1:2, the maximum value of output voltage of the transformer applied to the diodes will be :

E'0 = 2 × E0

= 2 × 14.14

= 28.28 V

∴ DC voltage = \(\frac{2E'_0}{\pi}\)

\(\frac{2\times 28.28\times 7}{22}\)

= 18 V.
