x + 5 > 4x – 10 

⇒ x + 5 – 5 > 4x – 10 – 5 

⇒ x > 4x – 15 

⇒ 4x – 15 < x 

⇒ 4x – 15 – x < x – x 

⇒ 3x – 15 < 0 

⇒ 3x – 15 + 15 < 0 + 15

⇒ 3x < 15

⇒ \(\frac{3x}{3}\)<\(\frac{15}{3}\)

∴ x < 5 

Thus, 

The solution of the given inequation is (–∞, 5).
