Complete the following activity to find the length of median `AQ` on side `BC`, if `AB^(2)+AC^(2)=122` and `BQ=5`.
image
In `DeltaABC`,
seg `AQ` is the median,
`AB^(2)+square=2AQ^(2)+2BQ^(2)`…….(Apollonius theorem)
`:.122=2AQ^(2)+2(5)^(2)`
`:.2AQ^(2)=122-square`
On simplifying, `:.AQ^(2)=square`
`:.AQ=square`........(Taking square roots on both the sides)

Best answer
In `DeltaABC`,
`AB^(2)+AC^(2)=2AQ^(2)+2BQ^(2)`
`:.122=2AQ^(2)+2(5)^(2)`
`:.2AQ^(2)=122-50`
`:.2AQ^(2)=72`
On simplifying,
`:.AQ^(2)=36`
`:.AQ=6`........(Taking square roots on both the sides)
