P be a point on a circle having diameter AB. ∠ABP = 30°, BP = 6cm. Draw a rough figure.  Find the length of AP and area of circle ?

∠P = 90°, ∠A = 60°,

AP : PB : AB = 1 : √3 : 2

AP = 2√3 cm,

Radius of circle = 2√3 cm

Area of circle = π(2√3)2 cm = 12 π cm2
