Explain the effect of increasing the temperature of a liquid, on intermolecular forces operating between its particles. What will happen to the viscosity of a liquid if its temperature is increased ?

On increasing the temperature of a liquid, the kinetic energy of the molecules increases so that it can overcome the intermolecular forces of attraction and hence the liquid can flow more easily, i.e., viscosity of the liquid decreases.
