Best answer
Compressibility factor, `Z=(PV)/(nRT)`
Substituting, n=1 mol, P=50 atm, `V=350xx10^(3) L=035 L`
`R=0.082" L atm "K^(-1) mol^(-1)`, T=27+273=300 ,K we get
`Z=((50 atm)(0.35 L))/((1 mol )(0.0821" L K"^(-1) "mol"^(-1))(300 K))=0.711`
For ideal gas, Z=1. As for the given gas, `Z lt 1`, it shows negative deviation, i.e., it is more compressible than expected from ideal behaviour.
