साम्य स्थितरांक 54.8 है। यदि हमने शुरू में HI(g) लिया हो, 700 K ताप पर साम्य स्थापित हो तथा साम्य पर 0.5 mol `L^(-1)` HI(g) उपस्थित हो तो साम्य पर `H_(2)`(g) एवं `I_(2)(g)` की सांद्रताएँ क्या होंगी?

`therefore` पश्च अभिक्रिया के लिए K =54.8
`therefore` इस अभिक्रिया के लिए
`K=1/(54.8) = 1.82 xx 10^(-2)`
`therefore H_(2)` or `I_(2)` के मोल सामान है तो इनकी सांद्रताएँ भी समान होंगी।
`[H_(2)]=[I_(2)]=x मोल लीटर ^(-1)`
`therefore K=([H_(2)][I_(2)]/([HI]))^(2)`
`therefore 1.82 xx 10^(-2) = (x xx x)/(0.5)^(2)`
`x^(2) =1.82 xx 10^(-2) xx (0.5)^(2)`
`x=0.0675 मोल लीटर^(-1)`
