गर्म करने पर पदार्थ के द्रव्यमान में कोई परिवर्तन नहीं होता।
द्रव्यमान,`m(=आयतन xx घनत्व )= Vrho = नियतांक `
अवकलित करने पर,`" " VDelta rho+rhoDeltaV=0`
`" " therefore(DeltaV)/(V)=-(Deltarho)/(rho)`
गर्म करने पर आयतन बढ़ता है।अतः घनत्व घटता है।
`therefore` घनत्व में भिन्नात्मक परिवर्तन,`(Deltarho)/(rho)=-(DeltaV)/(V)=-(Vgamma DeltaT)/(V)`
अथवा
` (Delta rho)/(rho)=-gammaDeltaT=-49xx10^(-5)xx30=-1.47xx10^(-3)`
