Maximum acceleration of a particle in SHM is `16 cm//s^(2)` and maximum uelocity is `8 cm//s`.Find time period and amplitude of oscillations.

`a_(max)=omega^(2) A=16 cm/s^2` …(i)
`u_(max)= omega A = 8 cm/s` …(ii)
Solving Eqs.(i) and (ii), we get
`A = 4cm`
and `omega = 2rad//s`
Now, `T = (2pi)/(omega) = (2pi)/(2) = (pi) s`
or `T~~3.14s`
