दो वेक्टर `vec(A)` व `vec(B)` के लिए सिद्ध कीजिये कि यदि `vec(A)+vec(B)` तथा `vec(A)-vec(B)` परस्पर लम्बवत हो तो `vec(A)` व `vec(B)` के परिमाण समान है ।

प्रश्नानुसार `(vec(A)+vec(B))` तथा `(vec(A)+vec(B))` परस्पर लम्बवत है अतः इनका अदिश शून्य होगा अर्थात
`(vec(A)+vec(B))*(vec(A)-vec(B))=0`
अथवा `vec(A)*vec(A)-vec(A)*vec(B)+vec(B)*vec(A)-vec(B)*vec(B)=0`
अथवा `vec(A)*vec(A)-vec(B)*vec(B)=0" "[becausevec(A)*vec(B)=vec(B)*vec(A)]`
`vec(A)*vec(A)=vec(B)*vec(B)`
अथवा `A^(2)=B^(2)" "[becausevec(A)*vec(A)=A^(2)"इत्यादि"]`
अथवा `A=B" "[because" परिमाण धनात्मक होता है"]`
अर्थात `vec(A)` व `vec(B)` के परिमाण बराबर है ।
