किसी प्रथम कोटि की अभिक्रिया सांद्रण का 0.6 mol `L^(-1)` से 0.4 mol `L^(-1)` में परिवर्तन 5 मिनट में होता है। प्रारम्भिक सांद्रण के 0.3 mol `L^(-1)` होने में लगाने वाले समय की गड़ना कीजिये।

प्रथम कोटि अभिक्रिया के लिए,
`k=2.303/t log_(10)([A]_(0))/[A]`
प्रश्नानुसार, t=5 min, `[A]_(0)=0.6 "mol" L^(-1)`, [A]=0.4 mol `L^(-1)`
`k=2.303/5 log_(10)0.6/0.4=0.081 "min"^(-1)`
प्रारम्भिक सांद्रण के 0.3 मोल में परिवर्तन के लिए,
`[A]_(0)=0.6 "mol" L^(-1)` तथा `[A]=0.3 "mol"L^(-1)`, t=?
`t=2.303/t log_(10)=([A]_(0))/([A])`
`t=2.303/0.081 log _(10)0.6/0.3=8.56` min
