नर्न्स्ट समीकरण के अनुसार,
`E_(("सेल"))^@=-(0*0591)/n"log"([Ni^(2+)])/([Ag^(+)]^2)`
`=1*05V-(0*0591)/2"log"(0*160)/((0*002)^2)`
`=1*05-(0*00591)/(2)log(4xx10^4)`
`=1*05-(0*0591)/2(log_4+4log 10)`
`=1*05-0*029(log2^2+4xx1)`
`=1*05-0*0295( 2 log 2 +4)`
`=1*05-0*0295(2xx0*3010)+4`
`=1*05-0*1355759`
`=0*9142 V`.
अतः सेल का EMF `= 0*9142 V.`
