Best answer

Given: g = 9.8 m/s2, h = \(\frac{R}{2}\)

To find: Acceleration due to gravity (gh)

Formula: \(\frac{g_h}{g}=\frac{R^2}{(R+h)^2}\)

Calculation: From formula,

At h = \(\frac{R}{2}\) from the surface of the Earth, the value of g is 4.35 m/s2.
